Decided to have the American Twister meal since I had a coupon for it! It was really yummy, I'd definitely eat it again next time~
After that, we promptly headed to NYP for Open House'14! We spent around 1 and a half hours there and I gotta say, it was pretty fun. The students there were generally, really friendly!! I enjoyed talking to those whom I got the chance to converse with :)
Nabs & I played this game that was created by the Infocomm & Technology students which basically tested us on our concentration skills. After we were done, we were told to go to level 5 to collect our free gift which is a 8GB thumbdrive (obviously we wanted that free gift, HAHA).
When we got to the lab on level 5, we went in but there were so many rooms that we didn't know which one to head towards so I ended up asking this (really super duper cute) guy (who's a student @ NYP) whether he knew where we could get the free thumbdrive after playing the game downstairs.
He then directed us into this room where a couple of other NYP students invited us in to play another game.
I was like, "HUH? But we played the game downstairs already!!"
Then the guys there were like, "Aiya, this one is another game. It's very simple!! You play the game and then you can get your free gift okay!!"
So I said, "Cheat my feelings ah >:"
Then they all laughed, psh. Nabs & I played the game but 3/4 of the time, we had no idea what's going on so there was a male student helping out each of us. The one who attended to me is this indian guy who had a 'mat look' going on but evidently, he was nice and friendly (though he kept teasing me here and there).
He helped me play pretty much the entire game HAHAHA and then at the end, I had to fill in this online form and this is what happened:
/I filled in my full name/
Him: WOAH mix blooded siol. We kena a mixbloodedddd.
/I turned around to glance at him and give that facepalm look/
/I then filled in the name of my school/
Him: CRESCENT GIRLS' SCHOOL SIOL.
/Sooooooo I turned around again/
Me: (jokingly) You got a problem with that?!?!
HAHAHHAHA.
After I was done with that, he gave me the thumbdrive and a notebook and said I could take all the sweets that was in the bowl which was on the table.
Me: You say one ah, I take everything ah.
Him: Yeah go ahead and take everything. Eat until you get diabetes la u.
/proceeds to take everything/
Him: EH NOT EVERYTHING LA, later other people also want to eat how :(
HAHAHAHHAHA l0ser.
Moving on, Nabs & I then headed to the school of Business Management and when we stepped into the room, the students of the Hospitality & Tourism course wasted no time in trying to nab our attention. Nabs & I just gave the standard "We're just looking around (:" reply. Then, two (super cute and smiley guys) offered us mocktails at a table nearby and we couldn't refuse because we were thirsty so yeah. The mocktail was pretty nice!! After we drank it, one of the two guys cheekily said, "Now, you have to listen to our friends talk about the course since you drank our mocktails :P" (HAHHAHAHA okay la, smart move la, gotta give them props for that).
I was impressed by the enthusiasm of the students in that course because they really wanted to tell us all that they know in an attempt to persuade us to take up this course. In fact, I was actually quite interested in the course afterwards, thanks to their efforts. However, I've already sold my soul to NP'S Mass Comm so no changes can be made now (:
We had to walk past the two guys again in order to get to the other booths and then they asked if we wanted another mocktail (while smiling all cheekily) and we were like, "HAHAHA NO NO it's okay ;)"
Damnnnnnn, like I said, they are all generally really friendly and cheerful people; people that I really wanna be friends with. I hope I'll get to meet people like them in NP. Nevertheless, whether you people see this or not, I'll like to thank you for being really friendly and approachable during the open house!! You are all pretty darn awesome aye :)
Left NYP around 12:30pm and headed back to Novena where we missed the 1PM shuttle bus to Mount Alvernia, sigh. Thus, we decided to finally redeem my free drink from Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf!!
We played a few rounds of Kinect!! I got tired out really easily because I was already exhausted from all the walking around :(

Reached home at 4:30pm and my mum dragged me to tamp around a half hour later, meh. I was super tired but the thought of dinner kept me going, hahaha. We ate at this new restaurant (whose name I also forgot) which serves Penang-style dishes. I had a bowl of Assam Laksa which is one of their signature dishes and it cost me $6.95. It was so flavourful and delicious, I absolutely love it!!!!
I also ordered a glass of pink guava juice to quench my thirst. That too, was really nice!!
Well, that sums up my Friday :)
