I'm still learning to love, just starting to crawl.

My dad drove the family up to Johor last Saturday!
Nabs was supposed to tag along but she didn't get my text cause she m.i.a (huhu) so Xuan was supposed to then go in her place but he fell terribly sick (sigh, poor Xuan). Thus, it was only my parents and I in the end.
As usual, our main objective when we get there is to buy groceries from Giant as they're cheaper in Malaysia than in Singapore. We Lims are quite frugal ya, hahahha.
Oh and when we were driving through SG customs, Hadi's car drove past us and we were surprised to see them, it was like a total coincidental moment. As a result, my dad and I kept pestering my mum the whole day to contact Hadi's mum so we could like hang out with them but my mum refused but in the end, she gave in so we managed to meet up with them for a short while before we called it a day, hehe.

one of the selfies i took while en route to malaysia, haha
what's a road trip to malaysia without a car selfie aye?
yet another selfie, sry

i promise i only took 3 selfies, tops
was craving kaya balls so my mum got them for me at 8 for 2.50RM!
here's one of em' cutesy kaya balls, hehe

doesn't exactly look tantalizing, sadly, but here's what I had for dinner that day:
sizzling hotplate mee
I really like the idea of it but the taste really needs to be worked on.

a kitty eating leftovers which were given by the stall holders at the hawker centre we went to

Speaking of kitties, I got super pissed off at this young boy who was around 7 years of age. It was bad enough that he was disturbing and taunting the cats there by chasing after them and spitting his saliva at them, he even encouraged another boy (whom I assume is his younger brother) to join in. Although the boy's parents and elder brother were there, I did not hesitate to look sternly into the boy's eyes and tell it straight to his face with a deadly glare, "Can you stop it?" His parents saw me do that, lol. Well, the boy backed down for awhile before he decided to go back to bothering the cats again but when he caught me watching his every move, he decided to lay low. However, a couple of minutes later, he was back to his old ways and when the cat he was chasing, came to my area where I was sitting and seeked shelter/protection under my seat, I looked at the boy who was preparing to spit at the cat and I gave him a deadly warning, "Go ahead. I DARE you." This time round, his elder brother who happens to be one of the stallholders there, saw me do what I did but tbh, I couldn't care less because I was doing it for the poor cats who were not allowed to eat in peace thanks to that insolent brat. Clearly, his parents didn't take him in hand because they just looked on and didn't bother to stop him despite seeing that he was spitting at the cats. One thing I really hate (and yes, I mean hate) is when I see animals being mistreated because that's just downright sick. So, whatever I can do in my power to stop any acts of mistreating animals, I'll do it without any hesitation whatsover. Oh and both times I glared at the boy and gave him warnings, my parents were like, "Eh, don't Amira, his parents are there" but being the adamant & stubborn soul that I am, I clearly didn't listen but then again, they didn't have a proper reason to get angry at me or anything because I was doing it for a good cause. They were just afraid I would get into trouble with the boy's parents or something, hahaha. Well, #yolo aye, looks like this incident is the first thing I'm proud of in 2014, aha.

lol okay, phew, feels good to get that off my chest

moving on;

i look super chubby in this picture, i crey

w/ the only niece whom i can click pretty well with most of the times
finally met up with hadi's family for about an hour whilst they had their dinner, before my parents and i headed back to SG while hadi's family stayed behind to shop some more

a kitty i made friends with!!
i named him blacky/blackie :-)

this was our last stop in malaysia for the day
had dinner at the hawker centre there
pandan city is a must go to place if you're planning to buy really cheap groceries and household items

So yeah, that pretty much sums up my day in Malaysia. It was quite a good day I guess, well, apart from a serious matter that happened in the family in the first half of the day, the second half of the day made up for it. I was annoying my mum alot during the whole time we were there, hahaha, but there were alot of laughter and jokes being shared between my parents and I. I haven't felt like that in a while so it felt really nice to experience that familial warmth again (-:

Moving on to Sunday:
finally received my (belated) Christmas gift from my eldest aunt from the paternal fam

excitedly unwrapped my gift after waking up from my nap and look what i received!
it's a festive, scented, hand cream package from the body shop!!!
it's a really simple gift but i absolutely love it (:

my dad's been buying me this lately (idky) but i can never turn down milk coffee cause it's da bomb
Okay, finally gonna briefly talk about Monday (or at least attempt to make it brief):

So, Nabs & Xuan were supposed to come over today for a movie marathon and we were supposed to order pizza and just lepak the whole day. But sadly, Xuan still hasn't recovered, in fact, his condition took a turn for the worse and he was admitted to the hospital a few hours ago. I'm gonna go visit him later in the afternoon because I'm really worried about him; he hasn't been this physically weak before. Get well soon my dear, love you loads and my prayers will always be with you. x

Anyways, Nabs & I decided to just cancel the movie marathon because we didn't wanna have it without Xuan; it just wouldn't be the same. Thus, I spent the first half of the day practically rotting at home after eating breakfast and doing the dishes.

I spent some time cleaning up this tin and then labelled it as such.
Hopefully, this will be filled up by the end of the year.
For now, there's only 1 happy memory noted down on a piece of paper in that tin but I'm confident that over time, happy memories are just gonna keep flowing in n_______n #hopeful
snacked on this sometime during the day.
got it at malaysia on saturday, hahaha
yay for cheaper prices!

Headed out around 5pm++ to shop for groceries and some household appliances at Haig Rd with my mum. I also had a quick dinner with her @ Mr Teh Tarik whilst sharing our views about a certain matter. It was a pretty insightful discussion indeed.

when you don't know what to eat, you can never go wrong with chicken rice #typicalSingaporean

Reached home around close to 10pm, changed into some comfy clothes, prayed, surfed the net for awhile, watched CSI & Bones w/ my mum and now here I am, blogging away.

Before I forget, hi Syah, if you're reading this, I'm sorry I woke you up from your sleep by calling you. I just wanted you to reply my whatsapp cause I was desperate to know which Udders branch you went to and how to get there, hahahahahhaha. Once again, my apologies.

Sigh, I can't help but think about how much pain Xuan must be in rn; food poisoning ain't a laughing matter. I had it before, I would know how big a bitch it can be :/ Take care my dear, I'll be praying for you to recover asap. In the meantime, stay strong okay?

Well, to whoever who reads this, I sincerely hope had you had a great, first weekend of 2014 as well as a great Monday!
Goodnight to you, lovely person (-:
