Fall seven times and stand up eight.

this made my morning, it really did :'-)

Anyways, got out of the house and reached CGH by 10:30am because my mum needed to get some work done before following me to school to collect my O'level results. Meanwhile, my dad and I had breakfast at the hospital's canteen. Had a hearty bowl of mee soto and that was more than enough to fill me up.

My genius dad decided to get cold desserts for me and him as means to quench our thirst just because the queue for the drinks stall was really long and he was too lazy to queue up for proper drinks instead, hahaha. So yeah, I ended up freezing on the inside since I had to consume the chilly contents of that bowl in the picture. (thanks alot ya daddy)

So yeah, I got L1R5 19 everyone (-: I gotta admit, I was expecting slightly better results but after thinking it over, I feel grateful to have made such vast improvements in my academics. I was a former L1R5 39-pointer but now I've worked butt off to get to a score that's below 20 and  I couldn't be more proud of my achievement. Alhamdulillah, my parents are also really pleased and satisfied with my results!

They are especially impressed by the fact that I managed to get a B3 for Emath despite having F9-ed math ever since I was in Secondary 1 (true story, no joke; that's how bad I am at math). My mum was also pleased that having F9-ed both my sciences before, I managed to get a C6 for Chemistry and a D7 for Biology. Tbh, I was disappointed with my Chem grade because Chem was one of the subjects I put extra effort into. I was really hoping for a B3 at the very least but now, I'm just thankful that I passed the subject. Sadly, I wasn't able to do the same for Bio. I knew that my Bio isn't strong, from the start and I was expecting my worst grade to be for Bio (which came true in the end). I was hoping to not fail it though but oh well. It kinda sucks seeing that 'blemish' on my results slip but I guess that's what fate has in store for me so I've accepted it. I'm also happy that I got a B3 for Combined Humanities after C6-ing & F9-ing it before. Lastly, I'm pleased that I got 3 A2s (1 for English, 1 for HML and 1 for ML). I gotta admit, I was upset as hell that I didn't even get a single A1 but hey, an A2 is still a distinction and I should be thankful for that (-:

What's most important is that I got 13 raw for my L1R2B2, 11 after minusing 2 bonus points from CCA. With that score, I'm eligible to take up the DPA offer into NP's Mass Comm and I'll be starting poly on the 22nd of Jan, 2014. Thank god I decided to DPA into the course of my choice, otherwise, I probably wouldn't know what to do or which direction to head towards with the results that I've gotten!

Sadly, the picture can't be rotated but here's a bowl of yummy, baked, spaghetti bolognaise! My mu m treated me to lunch at Swensens as a so-called reward/mini celebration/recognition of my satisfying results. It was really yummy but I couldn't finish my food for once, meh.

We also ordered the calamari rings as a side order! Both of us love that dish :)

Today was the last day I got to don the CGS uniform. In a way, I'll miss being able to do so but I'm also glad to be moving on to another phase/chapter in my life. Praises be to Allah for opening up a clear path for me towards my future, alhamdulillah.

This is just one of the couple of sweet congratulatory messages I received upon the release of O'level results!
Thank you Tobi, your kind words helped to spur me on abit (-:

Well, that's how my Monday went! I sure hope the rest of you Sec 4's got the scores you wanted!! As cliche as it sounds, what's done is done and what we can do is move forward from here. The route that we want may not be the best for us so just trust what God has planned out for you. I believe all of us have done our very best and that's what really matters.

Goodnight friends! x
