I was initially supposed to go there tomorrow but my mum asked if I perhaps, wanted to go today instead so I said yes because Xuan was working today so I could get to kacau him >:)
Headed to the bookfest ahead of my mum, about an hour ++ before she ended work. We agreed to meet at the bookfest itself because I was bored of being at home, thus I insisted on going there alone first. Yeah, so anyways, I gotta say, I did some serious brisk walking in order to get there and I ended up perspiring quite a bit cause it felt like I had somewhat finished a workout, HAHAHA.
Xuan said he was at the Starhub booth so I headed to the first one I saw but he was nowhere in sight. I went around the entire 100,000 square feet area where the bookfest was being held, twice, before I realized that there was another Starhub booth and that was the one that Xuan was stationed at. ((Like I said, it felt like a real workout aye.)) So yeah, Xuan was all smiles when he saw me, awwwww n_____n. I finally got to meet his friend, Leon, in person! Leon totally didn't look like how I imagined he would look like but nevertheless, he seemed friendly and indeed, he was! There was another guy who was working the same shift as Xuan & Leon but I forgot his name :-( But he's also really nice!! I think his personality is really cute tbh, he was all smiles although he was so tired from giving out flyers and explaining stuff to potential customers; basically, doing his job. Xuan & Leon's jobs were pretty much the same thing too! I spent close to the first half hour or so, looking around and picking out books which caught my eye as well as grabbing some pens that were on sale! Then, my phone vibrated cause I got a text from Xuan, asking me where I was cause he was bored HAHAHAHAHA that ass. So I replied, "Okay, I get the hint :b", then I went back to the Starhub booth he was at :) I placed my things at a corner and I made small talk with Leon and the other guy, they were really nice, friendly and wacky. I find them to be enjoyable company (-:
I spent the next few minutes attempting the lame kiddy activity book which was set aside for children who visited the 'Children's Corner' cause I was kinda bored. Leon then exclaimed, "SERIOUSLY? YOU'RE DOING THAT?" HAHAHHAHA. Xuan challenged me to being able to find the words in the crossword puzzle and complete the 'find the difference' activity in supposed 'record time', hahahahha. I couldn't find the last of the 10 differences so I asked Leon and the other guy for help while Xuan went to give out some more flyers and then the guy ((whose name I can't recall)) was like, "AIYA THIS IS SO EASY PLEASE." But then, he got stuck finding it as well HAHAHHAHAHA. Thus, he resorted to drawing in the 'difference' then he was like, "THERE! Easy what." Leon and I started laughing xD Oh and then Xuan returned and I told him about what had just happened and then idky, Xuan started drawing stupid and gross stuff on my kiddy activity book and then Leon and the other guy were like, "Dude, you damn gross sia." I couldn't help but agree HAHAHHAHA.
Hahaha okay, moving on, Xuan asked me to help him give out freebies and flyers with him so I tagged along!~ It was a pretty enriching experience I guess cause I gotta learn how to approach people and 'sell the idea' #ifyouknowwhatimean. Gotta admit, I felt that Xuan did a pretty fine job in doing so, I was quite impressed (-: It got a little bit tiring cause I spent around an hour ++ helping him which involved A LOT of walking around but it was fun because time spent with Xuan is always pleasant n__________n
The remaining amount of time was just the four of us, sitting at the booth, groaning at how annoying the kids at the 'Children's Corner' were cause they were being super noisy and kinda rude. Leon casually mentioned, "I'm not getting paid enough for this. I'm getting insulted by small children sia." HAHAHAHAHA poor Leon. Xuan got kinda pissed at them and tried to be firm with them but those kids were just.......uncontrollable. #reasonswhyidontlikesmallkids Oh ya, the other guy also doesn't like small kids and I was about to high-five him on that but he turned away to grab something so he didn't see my high-five so my high-five got rejected and I was like an awkward turtle for those few seconds so I just silently retracted my high-five, hahahahah how sad. :-(
On a side note, cause Xuan was kinda working under Starhub for that event, he had to wear the green, Starhub shirt which made him easily identifiable as a worker there. I wasn't though but I happen to coincidentally wear green skinnys so I guess that's counted ((AHAH okay actually not but whatever.))

My mum arrived around 2 hours ++ after I reached the bookfest. I went to meet up with her, browsed through a few other books with her, made my purchase ((which amounted to around $81)) and then we headed off for Vietnamese food for dinner! I didn't manage to take pictures of today's dinner because my phone decided to 'cock up' during that period of time, meh.
So yep, that's how the second half of my Friday the 13th went :-)
